Lubomír Doležel

Lubomír Doležel is a prominent scientist in the field of philology, literary theory, and Czech literature. He facilitated in founding Czech Studies at the University of Toronto. He is one of the world's most renowned and cited authorities in literary theory. Prof Doležel collaborates with the Department of Czech Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc. Along with Professors Kořenský and Kubíček, he was a member of the preparation committee of an international conference on Roman Jakobson, which took place in autumn 2012 in Olomouc. Professor Lubomír Doležel died on January 28, 2017.
