Ivan Theimer

Ivan Theimer is an important contemporary artist, sculptor, and painter. His work is closely connected with France, where this native of Olomouc emigrated in autumn 1968, and Tuscany. Besides his paintings and illustrations, his bronze casts have received international acclaim. Theimer's work, drawing inspiration from the works of old masters, found its peculiar place in the art scene next to modern trends. He received the honorary doctorate degree at Palacký University in the field of fine arts.
